Tomorrow is Eid-El-Hajji which is an Islamic holiday (from
what I can gather it is only celebrated in Tanzania). It seems to be a two day conference in Dar
where Muslims are encouraged to help orphans and the elderly and to live in
peace with other Tanzanians. But it
means that Kafule doesn’t have school tomorrow.
Not surprisingly, I didn’t find out until 9:00 last night. So with a long weekend ahead of us, Dahlia
and I decided to go to Mbeya. While the
truck ride to and from Mbeya is less than exciting I can’t wait for another
weekend in the big city!
